welcome to the fourth installment of THE HOMEBODY DIARIES, a 6-week limited series in which i will be combining my two passions: interior design + home fragrance!

each week will hold a new fragrance feature as well as a mood board dedicated to a home designed by that fragrance!

this week's feature is PUMPKIN PICKING, a scent that places you right in the middle of a pumpkin patch with hints of pumpkin vine + spice.

focus on the good stuff.

turning your space into one inspired by pumpkin picking is the perfect opportunity to take inspiration from the pumpkin itself, taking notes from not only the roundness of this autumnal staple, but also the stem, the vines, etc.

adding curved furniture pieces, particularly perfectly round items from a coffee table to an ottoman, and even finding ones with ribbed features to mimic the stem is really going to elevate your space with that pumpkin-esque vibe.

+ since pumpkin picking is that perfect first-days-of-autumn activity, making sure to tie in those tones of orange, brown, and even splashes of green will help bring your little pumpkin patch to life!

+ you can't forget about the accents!

they're what tie the whole thing together, after all!

expanding on the features of the pumpkin and those fall tones, you can incorporate various baskets, trinket trays, etc. as well as statement curtains that are really going to make the entire room POP!

+ it may be a long shot, but a more square arm chair could serve as a subtle nod to the wagon that you're no doubt pulling behind you at the real patch, overflowing with your loot for your front steps, your fireplace, etc.

whatever it may be, even if it's a not-so-subtle addition of ACTUAL pumpkins, real or fake, your space is sure to be transformed into a cozy fall oasis in NO time!
